Assessing the needs of those who come to us is rooted in a basic tenant of social work. The client presents their problems as they see and feel it to be. Our Friars and volunteers respond to the problem in the same way.
We do not judge anyone. Friars simply want to be of help and service. Anyone who comes to a FriarWorks ministry is treated with the care and dignity, as every single human being deserves to feel in life.
After listening to the people who comes to us, we then tend to the immediate problem they present. This could be hunger, homelessness, a medical problem or anything that prevents an individual from addressing long term assistance. We first assist with any immediate needs, then arrange short range help and lastly plan long term support.
