We are very excited to share with you the change of TheFranciscans.org to FriarWorks.org. We ask you to follow us, as we continue our journey as Friars, to our new website www.FriarWorks.org. We have developed this website to share with you the stories of the people who we serve and the Friars and volunteers who serve them. Here you can explore the places where the Friars uplift lives and meet the many people who come to our doors.

We invite you to view our projects, which provide access to food, shelter, medical care, education and support services to those in need. Read our blog posts, watch our videos and hear from some of the 2.5 million people we support each year.

How do we do this? As Friars, the stories you will hear resonates with how we approach poverty. We live and work in the communities we are supporting.

This allows us to see the needs of residents in a more intimate way— and craft more creative, more effective solutions. If we see a woman foregoing food to feed her pet, for instance, we’ll stock pet food in our food pantry.

Person by person, parish by parish, community by community we attack poverty with smart, targeted programs—and a whole lot of love and support. Visit our Friars Feed, Friars Educate, Friars Shelter, Friars Support to learn how we lift people out of poverty and into the mainstream.

Want to learn more about the Friars? Check out our Friars’ Lives page. Your support makes all this possible. Become a part of the FriarWorks community by subscribing below.

Looking forward to getting to know you!
