Right now there are over 300 students at Christ the King Preparatory School in Newark, NJ who are at risk of falling behind in their education and their future.

In this urban area, where 40% of students depend on school provided meals during the day and aren’t promised supper in the evening, access to tech devices like computers and internet service at home are often non-existent.

This September we need your help raising $10,000 in order to purchase 25 new Chromebook laptop computers for our students. The mission of our school is to prepare these economically disadvantaged kids for college. And in a world where computer skills are one of the most vital skill sets in the workforce, our friars and faculty are met with a huge challenge- How can we help educate our kids who have no laptops or have outdated, slow or broken laptops?
These kids come from poverty stricken homes. We have students who live out of cars, some who have been forced to find shelter with their mothers beneath highway underpasses after being evicted. These kids don’t even get a chance to dream, much less have a dream!

But you can help us change that!

25 Chromebooks will give our students the opportunity to succeed! Without access to these computers, many will not gain typing skills, understand proper email etiquette or have knowledge of basic software or search engines.
