This Christmas the Franciscan Friars need your financial support to care for our elderly friars who have built up our wonderful ministries that feed, shelter, clothe, educate and support 2 million people each year. You can do that by taking The Franciscan Challenge!
Recently, a generous FriarWorks supporter has stepped up with $5,000 in matching gift funds, so by making a donation to the Franciscan Challenge NOW you are doubling your impact. We have reached $20,000 of our $50,000 goal -so, if just 300 people make a minimum gift of $100 this Christmas, we will reach if not exceed our goal! Perhaps you cannot donate $100 right now – but maybe you could give $25 a month for four months by making a pledge to the Franciscan Challenge. Pope Francis said “We are all a little fragile, the elderly. Some, however, are particularly weak, many are alone, and affected by illness. Some depend on the indispensable care and attention of others. Will we abandon them to their fate? … Where there is no honor to the elderly, there is no future for the young.” In appreciation for what we have now, please help us care for our older sick Friars.
